What’s up everyone? We hope you had a good weekend, and are faring well during your Monday routines. We truly hope that if you aren’t enjoying your Monday to the fullest, that you’ll take a break and read over our latest blog post! It just happens to be another full wedding for you to enjoy with us! Get ready to be blown away, and feel the love that was shared by this couple.
First, we want to quickly point out, that this couple, are our distant cousins. (By marriage only I think, but that counts, right?) Cinda and Rob are both a very sweet and yet kinda sassy (in a very good way) couple. We truly had a lot of fun getting to know them better throughout the course of their wedding day! They reached out to us a couple of months ago, and amazingly, we still had their wedding date open and ready for booking! This was a rare occurrence, which we feel must have been “meant to be”. π
The wedding day itself, was one that would have been a dream day for any wedding photographer. The air was cool, but the sun was warm. We had big puffy clouds passing slowly by overhead and beautiful light, spilled around us every where we looked. We started the day (and ended it too) at the Grecian Center in Southgate Michigan, with the girls getting ready on location…
After the girls got ready, they headed over to the outdoor ceremony location to have some formals taken of them. Cinda was absolutely stunning and perfected every suggestion I made to her! She looks like she belongs in a magazine!
After their formals, the girls went into hiding, while the guys started to get ready themselves. One of the two maids of honor joined them and helped to pin their boutineers onto each guy.
After the guys were ready to go, we had a few minutes to quickly grab some formal pictures of them all together. Sadly, they weren’t into the whole “silly” group picture, but we don’t mind. We still captured some amazing shots of these handsome men, ready for the big day!
After the guys were finished with their formal portraits, they mulled around with guests for a little bit, before the ceremony began. Here we will see some of the details they had laid out for the ceremony as well!
After a few minutes of everyone getting ready, the ceremony was set to begin! Everyone took their place and began walking down the aisle. Their ceremony was packed with a lot going on! They had a beautiful unity candle lighting ceremony, a butterfly release ceremony, touching vows being read to one another, tears of joy, and so much more! Well, you’ll see for yourself below. π
Wow! A lot happened and it was totally awesome in every way! Especially the bubbles at the end. Like seriously, that was so cool! After their ceremony however, we went over to the special place laid out to sign their marriage license to make everything “official.”
After the marriage license, came the family formals. This family was so much fun to work with. Everyone was in great spirits! Cinda’s mother even gave Cinda an adorable kiss on the cheek during these portraits! Guys, there was so much going on here, that it was hard for me to not cry after every little thing. Just look at how sweet this family is!
Once the Family was taken care of, they made their way to the reception hall, while the Bridal Party stayed behind. We had to get a few more pictures of them all together before we could release them into the reception hall. They were fine with that however, and finally gave us some more funny pictures to enjoy!
Once the bridal party was finished, we released them as well, and had a moment with just Cinda and Rob. They are truly so madly in love with one another. They had the most perfect golden hour light you can imagine, shining behind them through the willow trees that are on the grounds at the Grecian Center. I mean, just look at these stunning portraits! When I say the light was good, I mean it! Jeff and I were dying inside, wanting to keep Cinda and Rob there forever to take more and more portraits! Well, just look at what I mean!
Whew! How beautiful, am I right? After their formal portraits were finished, we captured a quick photo of them on the golf cart, before heading inside the reception area. WOW! We were not expecting so much lavish and luxuious decorations and details! Jeff and I were so giddy about their reception location, that we couldn’t resist taking as many detail pictures as we were able to!
After quickly obtaining some detail shots from the reception, it was time for the Bridal Party to make their grand entrance into the reception! We had a lot of fun capturing the different couples as they walked in. Some posed for us, some just hurried to their seats, hungrily awaiting dinner. However, because of how they had the hall decorated, this was by far one of the coolest grand entrance locations we have seen in the five years of photographing weddings!
Directly after the grand entrances were finished, it was time to cut the cake. These two were kind to one another and didn’t smash the cake in each others’ faces, but they instead opted for the cute and romantic type of cake cutting!
After the cake cutting, the Maid of Honor and the Best Man both made a toast in honor of their friends who just tied the knot. A blessing was given as well, and then everyone was invited to eat some great food!
After getting our grub on, we prepared for the first dances. These were super cute as well! I’m starting to think that cute is a word I should use to simply describe Cinda and Rob. Because everything they did was just so cute! After their first dance together, they shared a dance with the Bride’s father and the Groom’s mother respectively.
After their first dances, it was almost time for us to go. But before we did leave, we captured some of the dancing that was taking place with the guests. Everyone was having a great time and it was a wonderful day all around.
And, that is as they say, is that. We want to thank Cinda and Rob for trusting us with their memories from their big day, and we are so honored to have been a part of it. We had a great time getting to know them better and to see some family that we hadn’t in a few minutes. We want to wish Cinda and Rob a fantastic life together too!
