Get ready for some cuteness overload! I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable, almost 1 year old baby this last weekend, and he was simply amazing to work with. He had a lot of fun in Elizabeth Park of Trenton, Michigan, just rolling around in the grass and getting into general mischief. He got to see some ponies that were stabled there, as well as an adventure with a giant daddy long leg spider! All in all, it’s safe to say that this photo-shoot tuckered the little guy out for his parents. To view his adorable photos, read on below!
Michigan Wedding at Historic Hope Chapel
As wedding photographers it was a great honor, pleasure, and privilege to document this awesome couple’s great day! This gorgeous little wedding was held at the beautifully kept Historic Hope Chapel, located in Shelby Township, Michigan (Just a short drive North of Detroit). If you’re looking for a quaint and beautiful locale to have your nuptials, this is definitely a chapel worth consideration. Not only is it quite cute, but also very beautiful and charming. It includes the chapel, and as a bonus, there are lovely gardens and park nearby which makes for a great setting for the bride and groom’s portraits!
Senior Portraits in Downtown Detroit
We recently had the great pleasure of doing a Senior Portrait session in Downtown Detroit; and let me tell you, they turned out amazing! Our senior, Koda, has always been in love with the scenery and life of Detroit, and wanted us to encompass that love of hers, into her senior pictures. She wanted us to use any graffiti we found, as well as cool locations iconic to Detroit. Check out the results below and let us know what you think!
Engagement Shoot in Downtown Detroit
We recently had the great pleasure of strolling around in Downtown Detroit for an engagement shoot for a lovely couple who are getting married on New Years Eve (which we will also be photographing.) Most people don’t think of city shots as a first choice for engagement shoots, but really, it depends on the couple, and I really think this couple were meant for it. They were such good sports, even though it was pretty cold out, and had a lot of fun posing for us and enjoying the stroll through iconic Detroit. It was a fun, exciting, and challenging adventure to be sure. Not only did we try to use the lighting and the activity of the city to really bring out the life of the photos, but we also used a little bit of time exposure as well. Below are some of our photos from the photoshoot, as well as their specs in case you want to know what we did for each photo. Please note, that a speedlight flash with a softbox was used for some of these shots, which really helped to counteract major shadows from the streetlights.
Detroit Zoo’s Butterflies
Hello everyone. Sorry it’s been a while since my last post on here. I’ve been super busy with upgrading our website, among many other things. (Like working on a Print store, so you can all enjoy our artwork in your own home!) Today, I’m going to post some of my recent pictures that I took at the Detroit Zoo’s Butterfly House. This gorgeous area of the zoo, is stuffed with beautiful exotic flowers and of course, butterflies. So, what does it take to capture a beautiful butterfly, you ask? Well, if you look under the pictures I’ve posted below, I’ve listed my camera settings for each shot. This will better help you to set up your own camera to get great pictures of butterflies in your area. Please note, that these were all taken when the sun was shining brightly through the glass ceiling. Now, onwards to the photos!
