Hello everyone! You might recognize the family we are about to feature here on our blog, as they are one of our regular families to come to us for their photographs to be captured. Well, this time, we all went together to take their family photo session in Downtown Detroit!
Hello everyone! I wanted to write about, and maybe even gush about, our recent winter session Jeff and I had with another photographer. You see, Jeff and I have been together (as of now) for ten and a half years. You would think, within all that time, we would have had our pictures taken at some point, right? Well, no… So long as you don’t count our wedding, we have had a whopping zero photo sessions, at least, until January 19, 2019 that is.
A couple of weeks ago, Jeff and I had the great honor of photographing, and performing, the marriage between our cousin Rebecca, and her fiance, Kyle. You may be wondering, “Wait, aren’t you guys just photographers?” Yes we are, however, I (Jess), am also ordained in the State of Michigan (by the American Marriage Ministries) to perform marriages. This was my first time performing a marriage, and it touched me in ways I never contemplated before. However, this isn’t about me, this is about them.
