So, how did you spend your April Fool’s day? We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day as much as we did! Jessica and I were honored to be the wedding photographers for a touching wedding in Monroe Michigan. If you’re from Michigan, you know that we haven’t exactly seen much of the sun in the last few months. In fact, it has been a running joke during this time between myself and Jessica saying something along the lines of “When did we move to Seattle?!” I mean, we literally had a whopping two whole days of sunshine in January! You might understand these two photographers’ concern then, as our most recent wedding approached… would the weather give us the new norm? Turns out, God would smile brightly on this wonderful couple last Saturday and give them the most beautiful sunny (and moderately warm) day imaginable! Yes! I do believe in miracles!
Getting Lost in the Scenic Porcupine Mountains
As you may have noticed last week, we’re coming back now, to our long lost blog… After a long absence! However, we are going to be taking a different approach in the content we will be presenting to you. While we still will be posting some of our favorite family and wedding projects, we are also going to concentrate quite a bit more on other areas of photography that we are passionate about. This will give you a bit of a chance to really see what we’re all about, and give us a chance to show off some of our more favorite personal projects, including the ever fantastical Porcupine Mountains.
Heritage Park Taylor Children’s Portraits
In our line of work as photographers (and… it’s still difficult to call photography, work, really) we get to capture so many precious moments and wonderful, captivating people in life. Today, I’d like to tell you a bit about these two sweet and beautiful sisters who we have been watching grow up for the past year. Every six months we look forward to our bi-annual photo-shoot with these two, and yesterday for the first time, the weather cooperated and we were able to finally enjoy the outdoors together!
Senior Portraits in Downtown Detroit
We recently had the great pleasure of doing a Senior Portrait session in Downtown Detroit; and let me tell you, they turned out amazing! Our senior, Koda, has always been in love with the scenery and life of Detroit, and wanted us to encompass that love of hers, into her senior pictures. She wanted us to use any graffiti we found, as well as cool locations iconic to Detroit. Check out the results below and let us know what you think!
