Hello everyone! We hope you are having a fantastic day, and that there isn’t too much snow hindering you and your family right now. However, if you’re warm and toasty, I hope you’re ready to view a beautiful birthday party we captured almost two weeks ago! If you are, keep reading all about this amazing first birthday party!
We first photographed this lovely family and their first son, Zayn, back in 2015. We had so much fun at that party, even though it rained off and on most of the time that we were there. However, this amazing family reached out to us again a few weeks back, and wanted us to capture the first birthday party for their second child, their daughter Aleen. We were so excited to hear from them, and were even more honored to be selected for this fun task! We accepted and now we’re here to share these portraits with all of you as well. But, be wary, there are a lot of photos to enjoy here… I hope your cheeks don’t fall off from all of the smiles you’ll have with this particular blog post. Lol! ๐
Once we arrived, we set up a few things, and started to take some detail shots of all the beautiful and lovely details that Aleen’s mother put together for her birthday party. We were so giddy to see so many details to start with, and captured them quickly. After the details, we captured a couple pictures in front of a backdrop that the family had set up, to reveal yet another surprise… They’re expecting again!
After those few photos, the parents and I went outside to capture some posed portraits for them quickly, while Jeff remained inside and continued to capture some candid photos of the guests. Once we were back inside, they wanted some pictures of their little girl with and without them in the portraits.
Once this was done, we all waited for the food to arrive, and everyone started chatting amongst one another, while some of the kids that were attending the party, had their faces painted for fun.
Once the food arrived, everyone dug in and enjoyed themselves. We were able to capture some really cute pictures inside the office with Dad and Aleen, as well as some adorable pictures of Mom with Aleen.
After everyone finished eating, it was time to sing “Happy Birthday” to Aleen and enjoy some desserts. Some adorable interactions happened here with the entire family that we are sure will brighten your day.
Next, was a very interesting cake smash. Aleen wasn’t too thrilled with the cake, and yet, very curious about it. She warmed up to it, after she had a few tastes of the frosting.
Lastly, it was time to bust open the pinata they had, and all the kids were ready to go. They had a lot of fun, and Zayn enjoyed collecting as much of the candy as possible.
